I'm Nick Froelich, a junior at the University of Michigan studying Performing Arts Technology with a minor in writing. I am a musician, singer-songwriter, sound engineer, and music director. In all of the work I do, I believe self expression is a key component to finding peace within myself and producing meaningful content. This applies to both personal means of self expression, as well as facilitating open-mindedness and creativity in a collaborative group setting. I use this very personally by writing songs about how I feel and certain things that happen in my life. I also use this frequently in a collaborative setting being the music director of my a cappella group, The G-men. Through composing music that is reproduced with a full group, I use my own musical expression to create an environment in which everybody feels comfortable to contribute to the collective sound and be themselves. Everyone has both good and bad experiences in their lives, and I believe that finding the right method in which one can reproduce these experiences (through art, writing, music, etc.), is essential to living a fulfilling life.
